The Buddhist ceremony lasted abour 30 minutes. It was good. Then we took Mayu's dad's ashes to his final resting place.
This is a very cool system. The ashes go into a box which then gores into a wall. The box revolves around on an elevator system and all are stored vertically in a tall building exactly like the vertical parking system in Japan.
When next Mayu's Mom wants to come and talk to Dad, she will put an IC card into a slot and his ashes will be delivered to her in the fashion that you can see in the photo.
What a great idea!
And to top it all off, the location is right next to Tokyo Dome where all of the Tokyo Giants games take place. Mayu's dad was a Giants fan so it's even better than perfect.
Have a blast Dad. I love you!
