Here I have backed up all of the blogs I wrote on Multiply, over the years. They are old, and apparently the images do not get imported, but it was worth a try. Currently I cannot seem to see any posts, but in the Dashboard it says I have over 1200 posts imported here. It may take a while to get this working.

It is always such an unusual feeling when the solid building that surrounds one, and grounds one to permanence, suddenly is no longer so permanent, and begins to undulate and sway with the power of earthquake...
Actually, I was going to write about it, but don't know how to explain it. This building has some special newfangled high tech anti-earthquake foundation built on a plate that vibrates and absorbs the shock, preventing it from going into the structure.
D - It was fun! It felt a little bit like lying on a ... oh, what are those called again... inflatable water... chesterfield... damn! I haven't thought of those things for 20 years.... not a raft, not a tube, but yeah, like those things you float on in the water, and sip beverages... and someone drives by in a boat, then you feel the residual wake as it flows by underneath you....
uh oh....
ReplyDeleteI hope you are ok?
Hope your building isn't one of those they talk about being of such shoddy construction.
ReplyDeleteCheck in the corners for cracks ;-)
Sure hope you are done with earthquakes !!!
