I was looking over in the corner where Santa was sitting, and it occurred to me, "how pathetic is my Christmas looking like this?!?" I decided I wanted it a little more ... Christmassy in here.
So I went out and bought some LED lights, cotton snow, mini ornaments and a star. I put them all on my bonsai.
NOW I have a frikkin' awesome Christmas tree!
I bet there is no other tree like this in the Multiverse!
Merry Christmas to. you. all.
I love you!
Cam
I love it!
ReplyDeletelooks good
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys.
ReplyDeleteVery cool it even has decorations! Are those your action figures? Its sometimes hard to motivate to get festive but once its done its a nice feeling, yes? I put up a tree last week, after lots of balking about it and last night I was thinking also how pretty it is.
ReplyDeleteIts the simple things.
Happy Holiday!
Oh and now all you need is some egg nog and brandy to complete it picture.
ReplyDeleteI've got the tree, but I really like Paula's suggestion better.
ReplyDeletePaula - Did you listen to that song I linked to? In that song they sing "Who needs eggnog, we've got sake!" But yes, eggnog would be nice. I don't even have a blender to make "pretendernogg. The decorations are the Dragon Ball characters, along with actual made in China 100 yen for a pack of five ugly-as-sin wood christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteHi Jalopy! Merry Christmas.
You mean you can't find true Egg Nog in Tokyo? Really??? Oh you can't have that, show those Japanese what a nip of nog is all about!
ReplyDeleteHere is an easy recipe (even converted to metric for you)
950 ml milk
5 whole cloves (not the smoking kind)
3 ml vanilla extract
2 g ground cinnamon
12 egg yolks
300 g sugar
590 ml light rum
950 ml light cream
10 ml vanilla extract
2 g ground nutmeg
Directions
1. Combine milk, cloves, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and cinnamon in a saucepan, and heat over lowest setting for 5 minutes. Slowly bring milk mixture to a boil.
2. In a large bowl, combine egg yolks and sugar. Whisk together until fluffy. Whisk hot milk mixture slowly into the eggs. Pour mixture into saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 minutes, or until thick. Do not allow mixture to boil. Strain to remove cloves, and let cool for about an hour.
3. Stir in rum, cream, 2 teaspoon vanilla, and nutmeg. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
What song? Where?
ReplyDeleteAh you missed a great post. Go to my LINKS section and download the song I linked there. I think you'll laugh as you have experienced a taste of Japan already (and have a hankering for another chomp, yes?)
