On the way from Venezia to Belluno we passed by all the familiar
sights that my mind recalled of 10 years ago. The Venice swamp gives
way to flatland then some hills with wine vineyards that slowly become
larger hills until suddenly you see the spires of the Alps starting.
They are of course unlike any other mountains in Japan. Gorgeous.
Two hours later we arrived in Belluno, an ancient city in the
mountains. As Michela was to pick us up in a few hours we wandered
around and I showed Hiroko the gorgeous buildings and churches in the
area.
