Flowergasms! It's Springtime in Japan

April, May and October are usually the best months of the entire year here in Japan. Since October is a little while away, I thought I would capture some of the sakura blossoming in my neck of the woods. Although later than in Tokyo, out here in Fukui it is still just as, if not more beautiful to see a little bit later.

I'm amazed by the wonderful blossoming trees!!!! they are stunning indeed!!! and I love that the climate there is so various!!! it's so cool to see how time can run at different speeds in different places:D especially when the places are just within a few minutes of walk or drive from each other!:) that gives me a feeling of some little magic actually:)

Hey gang... something strange is happening with my settings. I am only putting the video in the video setting, but it also seems to be making it into a blog. My apologies for this. I'll try to straighten it out. Double posting of the same thing is meaningless, and confusing.

    Tornado - thank you.

Robin - Soon, my friend... soon the green will once again be showing.

Dude - Get a trellis for next to the house and plant climbing things. I had sweetpeas growing on a trellis in front of one of my kitchen windows - the smell was fantastic and the sweetpeas made an excellent living privacy curtain.

I'm all about the living wall concept - we plant a lot of stuff that can attach itself to the fence. The dogs can't see out and people can't see in. Sadly, the winter is another story.

The cherry trees are so pretty. I can't wait for stuff to get growing here.

  6. I love spring!!! Beautiful! Just popped in to prove I am alive. I have a cute little Chihuahua named Margarita in my lap as I type as I am house sitting for my friend. She has two of these little creatures... the other is Chiquita. Casale is not thrilled to share my attention with so many... speaking of attention...

I also have to get back to the Rooster...aka Mr. Cubano... Handsome Jose, or JI... or as Robin calls him Crab Ass...he's sleeping soundly ... NIGHT!

  10. How amazing this video is Cam.. I still want to skip these as I am still far in the progression of my project over in youtube.. but I remember seeing a movie when I was 8 called the dreams of Akira Kurosawa, and in there (a series of dreams) there is one that deals with the spirits of the blooming sakuras that were cut down in a garden... this video brought that image back, and how in Japan, everything seems to have a spirit, a line, and a reason... Loved it! :)( Ihad to put the sound on for this :) )
