This is Keiko 2: The Final Journey

In June, Keiko came to live with us. He was sick, lice-ridden and very weak. We took him to the vet and fed him daily. Once he got stronger he spent most of his time away, but would come back every morning and afternoon for food. The past few weeks he has been away... He is a stray cat after all... Then today, I found Keiko lounging in the middle of the road...

I love you!

  2. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww poor Keiko. He looks so sad, but the trust in his eyes when he looks at you speaks volumes.

He knows he's in very good hands.

  4. Poor kitty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He looks listless. His eyes do not even open all the way.

I cannot watch anymore......Mic's dog (my dog too) Hobo, had the same problem. He'd walk and just collapse. Now, Jodi (the mix I picked out at the Humane Society 6 years ago) has the same problem. Most days she is ok, but some days....she just...gives up. Her hips are so thin!!!

    OK, going to work.

And I watched it through to the end.

  6. : ( Oh Keiko. : ( I can only imagine the adventures he has seen over his lifetime, being a stray. Imagine if he could tell the stories to us. The places he's gone, people he's seen.

He is fortunate to have such a kind, gentle, consistent caregivers. I send him lots of healing love and light.

  8. It's not a bad or scary video, folks.

Just Sweet Cammy petting and talking about Sweet Keiko.

It's a beautiful, calming video listening to Cam speak softly and calmly and lovingly with Keiko, who lies there accepting Cam's loving touch... which is all the more impressive when you know that before this he hated being handled.

Keiko knows he's in good hands with Cam and Mayu.

    What a blessed kitty!

  12. Hard dog food......I am not sure of the brand, she lives with Mic. I'll have to check the brand. Mic has been staying 'up' on the latest recalls and such. So far, this brand is not on any list.....so far.

  13. Reminds me a bit of my buddy Spot–you can see pictures of him on my Flickr–and how he came very close to dying this past summer of what appeared to be some kind of spider bite. He had this terrible infection that just didn't want to go away... it tooks months to heal him, and how you can't even tell. But I was scared for him for awhile.

Even though he's going through what I call the "teenage" phase cats go through–only coming in to eat, staying gone for a day or two at a time–I don't know what I'd do if something happened to him.

  17. I killed my cat, infections in both eyes and the doc said leave it alone. One eye festered and worms ate it out of the socket. Never seeing him, I thought it was the best thing to do. He loved the male dog

  18. Uhhh what the hell?

How is leaving an infection alone good? Worms ate your cats eyes?

    I have no words.

  19. well, the doc said , look that man treats cattle and he was the only one open and I could not find pussy when the others were open and that woman refused to come and take the infected stitches of Poppy out. I thought it was better than him wandering blind. I don't know, I think vets just hate animals.
