Here I have backed up all of the blogs I wrote on Multiply, over the years. They are old, and apparently the images do not get imported, but it was worth a try. Currently I cannot seem to see any posts, but in the Dashboard it says I have over 1200 posts imported here. It may take a while to get this working.
i hate thinking what i'm thinking: what's your crazy neighbor been up to lately? Keiko couldn't have opened that gate, so that means a person did. Keiko had food, shelter and a safe place with you. i think he was cat-napped by someone cause he clearly didn't have the strength to wander far on his own. oh i hate thinking like this, but these are my thoughts.
Do you have an idea of how old he is? : ( I want Keiko to come home! Did you talk with the neighbor that said he had been hanging around for a while to see if he went back?
I made a discovery last night that left me with some mixed feelings... my female, Princess Sophie, had been pregnant, then suddenly was not... I assumed she had "adopted" some other family, and had birthed her spawn there–which was fine with me, as I am still trying to decide what to do with the three she had in March–but last night proved me wrong... she just had them in the garage...
No, Keiko is not back yet, Alan. He did not come back.
Robin, the vet did all the tests and the results all turned out healthy. Except for a possible infection (high wbc, fever) there was nothing else wrong at all that he could find from the bloodwork. That doesn't mean there is nothing wrong, but usually USUALLY the blood tells the tale. Not in this cat. So... his leg weakness is a mystery, although could it be that he was starving since he was away from us for two weeks and probably nobody fed him? Being 500g less in weight than when we started feeding him back in July (first weighing) is unusual... but perhaps two weeks of starvation did it.
Amy... about 2years I think.
Celeste - yeah, he nudged it to the side, that damn cat.
Keiko was standing outside shivering like crazy this morning. He ate a big bowl of dry food and half of an uncooked hamburger. When I went outside again he was up on the chair, curled up trying to get warm. If only he wasn't such an invalid I would not worry!
Not that I really care... nope. he's just a stray cat after all... not my cat... nope....
Do you think the cat has arthritis ? Oh I see you have taken him to the vet. You could see he wanted to come up the step and finally found a way to get up without the least effort , poor cat , whatever it is I hope they find it !! You are such caring people !! I really admire you and your wife.
I should listen to the entire video before commenting. I will come back and see if your cat has returned. So strange that he got the fence opened all alone, but cats are so smart I once had a window opened like a half inch and somehow our cat squeezed out and never saw it again, (we were living in Montreal then) How he squeezed through there is amazing to me to this day.
What does the vet think? Have other people brought animals in displaying these kinds of symptoms?
