EarthQuake: Matt @ the Harmaceutical is OK

Just in case you wanted the details.....

We just had an earthquake about 30 minutes ago. I felt the house shake, and rumble and it had this deep set sound that the earth makes when it moves.

I went onto yahoo to find out where it was, and low and behold the seat of this earthquake was right here in Fukui!

It wasn't big at all, only 3.7 magnitude, and the epicenter was 10km underground (6miles) but enough to feel it shake.

Normally when it feels like that it has occurred somewhere else and we get the dregs of the quake, but I was surprised when I refreshed it to see it was here.

So, for those of you worrying about Matt over in Tokyo, he is OK!

I love you!

Cam

  2. Oddly, Small Thing yelled "EARTH QUAKE" about the time it hit and we thought she was nuts - we didn't even notice it, but either she was playing "earthquake" at the time or she's really sensitive to it all.

Glad you guys are ok!!! *HUGS*

  3. Glad you are well.. I didn't know that I lived on a fault, here, in Summerville, SC, until we had a smaller quake, like this, about two or three years ago. I have never been so close to an epi-center.. I was familiar with the movement.. the unmistakable sway.. but I had never heard the sounds, like that, before.. like below us.. explosion type sounds..

I was in southern Cali for the more recent bigger ones.. they are all a lot easier, in the stress department than these flappin' hurricanes. I'm so stressed out. Hanna could come right up to me.. and the poor freaked out people in Louisiana.. bless us all.

    I love you!

  6. Damn... everyone is taking this seriously! And I really wanted to do it tongue in cheek because whenever there is an earthquake somewhere in Japan, all of Matt's friends contact him to see if he is OK! And this time, the earthquake was about 550km (345mi) from him, on the other side of the country, but I figured somebody would check to see if he was OK....

  7. Glad you guys are OK.

Now i'm worried about Amber and any others n the NOLA and other Gulf areas.

Gustave is said to be the worse in a while and the people are being evacuated.

Let's wish them all good luck and Godspeed.

  8. I just got home from a day out, only to learn that I am O.K. That's pretty much the coolest thing ever. I wish I had a display in my home that told me I was okay every time I came home...

I love you! I didn't feel a thing. I've been out watching DVDs and drinking wine with a friend....

  15. We used to phone him to see if everything was ok, but have given up on that as in most cases we found him in bed and unaware there had even been an earth quake. So now we wait and see if he mentions anything. How times change.!! Hope everyone is having a great week end. They have my PC fixed so have to go and pick that up to day.

  16. After drinking it is not the shaking that gets to you; it is all that damn spinning that makes you feel good.....

Every time I see that nameless faceless icon it looks like an erupting volcano that is spewing some questionable detritus!

    I love you!

  33. I do have one question, in that photo, from here it sort of looks like you are wearing a modified Dorothy Hamill bob? is this intentional?

  34. Detritus????????????????????? Looks like a golf ball to me.!!!

  35. Kristen - It says....

"As a matter of fact, if you use me, from beginning this May, entering the characters and go to my profile, ... profile pic."

I like the "if you use me" part best of all I must admit...

As for the hair.. I have been growing it so it is getting some weight. Also, since I have parted it the opposite direction I usually do, the cowlick makes the hair sit pretty flat. Normally I part it over the cowlick and then it gives it a nice flowing body for my bangs. However when it is growing out and in the intermediary stage, without the weight...

it simply becomes this poofy mass of hair sticking up at the front of my head!

And since Dorothy Hamill was a cutie back in her day.. I take that as a compliment! Thank you!!!

  36. It doesnt quite say that, but its sort of close, so much for that translation software,

She had cute hair back I think I had that cut when I was 9 years old so your welcome

    She's actually still pretty cute!

  37. It's probably that sparkling smile and those dancing eyes that remind you of her as well!

  38. You guys are spoiling him rotten.!!! He just sucks up that stuff and builds up his EGO.!!
His motto is that he used to have an inferiority complex until he found out he was better than anyone else.. Just tame it down a little... we have enough trouble with him....

  39. She picks on me all right, Dad.

She even makes me cry sometimes!!!!!!

Or... was that "cry out"? ....

    *wink*

Thanks for the ego boost, Abby! I actually scraped both sides of my cranium trying to head out of this room to get a drink of water.... Ouch! I love you!
