  1. This is cool...
    Thanks, Baby!
    How'd you find it?

I've only downloaded a few (free) apps so far. They're both workout apps... one is yoga and the other is a series of targeted exercises.

I have to take time to explore more, but it's overwhelming cuz there's a bazillion!

I love you for thinking of me!

  2. There's an NPR app as well and MSNBC. Most major news channels have 'em, but I dig NPRs, since it's so searchable and I like their take on things.

  3. Jaim... I have NPR and some MSNBC feeds on my Twitter account.
It's great for keeping up as they link to stories every few minutes it seems.

I'm looking for some good reads on the audio or e-reader apps, but most of the free ones are kinda sucky ;-)

I'm going to check the pay ones for a couple but i don't want to get into BUYING a lot of apps.
Most of the free ones are pretty good and i have so little time anyway.

I drive everywhere. If i took public transportation i'd go crazy getting apps to do on the train!

  4. Kindle was free and loads of free books available too. If I didn't have the NPR, etc news apps, I'd be clueless! *laughs

Just takes a bit of deciding what to use :o)

  7. OK, i went to the app. read about it in disbelief... sounds awesome.
then i hit the free button it goes to the Install button. I hit that and..... "unable to purchase"...HUH?
well yeah it's kind of hard to purchase something that's FREE... WTF???

OK.. think i got it... just couldn't remember my password...UGH! I hate this password stuff... i've started using the same one for everything just cuz there's so damn many...GAH!
Waiting for an email to reset that then i should be good to go... BRB.

  9. Sometimes it takes a bit of digging, but you can look on your puter instead of your itouch (I find searching amazon a bit easier sometimes) and search for "free kindle books" or something similar and you should find a list of books. Some will still cost, but you can see the free ones easily.

Also if you click "get books" on your kindle, usually the most popular have a few of the free ones there. Publishers sometimes have books for free for a week to get people interested in a certain author. Is handy. :o)

Otherwise, many of the free ones are classics or newer authors looking to snag people's interest.

Being overseas, I've happily purchased dozens of kindle books and read 'em on the free app versus buying the kindle. You do lose some functionality (the itouch's battery tends to not last as long too) but I'm pleased as punch with it
