How to peel an egg

JI, PC, you were "mentioning" that in my previous 5 minute and 8 second video, had I eliminated everything except the egg-peeling scene, it might have been "more interesting".

Well guess what?

I did!

I love you!

    i love you!

  2. It was OK. The stuff is so thin that if I cook it any more I get a frypan full of fat, and these teeeny weeeny pieces of salted meat.

  3. I love raw bacon!! I eat it right out of the package.

    Great video Cam!!

  4. Noo!! It's good! I used to do it when I was little too.... snitch a little piece of bacon... (it's smoked... yanno.. not like it's RAW raw..)

  5. I agree. The thing is the thin stuff gets a bit greasy because the fat melts. That's all. But we all know you would eat a raw cow if you could (so would I). I love you! Thanks for loving the video.

  6. It was going along great Cam.... short, to the point... Then you just HAaaaaaaaD to add your dig..
    "EAT ME productions".

    Passive Agressive are we????

  7. LOL... oh he's going to love this, when he see's it. LOL

I like my bacon just warm rather like how you were eating it, but most everyone else likes it crisp.... it looses most of the flavor, and then...whats the point? But to each their own....right??

  8. Paula if you get the thicker sliced bacon and cook well, but not crisp... don't like it crisp, it's mmm mmm mmm.

It's just so fatty that it's like you're eating pure, greasy fat if you don't cook it fairly well.

Anyway you slice it though bacon RULES!!!

  9. Jen is right- Bacon rules I drools!!

  10. JJ.... I am still going to send you some bacon chocolate...I will make you brownies maybe with crumbled bacon instead of nuts? What do you think?? And a bacon chocolate bar since Cam hid his and didn't share it with you, but coveted it alone hiding and growling at anyone he dared to come near....LOL

  11. oooo still not sold on the chocolate bacon......

  12. I want the bar, Pauls, but the brownies must NOT be adulterated!!!

I want the original Paula brownies... with nuts is ok... mmmm love nuts!

And Stef, if the bacon is crisp, not flabby and greasy, it will be cool in a dark chocolate bar...drooling now... dammit!

    I'm craving chocolate.

  13. PC - Good morning! First things in order: Congratulations on the birth of your new grandchild! That was amazing to be "with you" the moment you had to rush off to attend her birth. I was smiling the entire day from that.

If you've been following the loving banter between ji and I the past couple years, you will understand how he will appreciate the closing which was intended for him, just as his "rooster crow" was intended for me.

Of course, if someone is silly enough to make a video on something as mundane as peeling an egg, it could only be with tongue in cheek that it is intended. And then of course to entitle the productions company as "eat me", it makes perfect sense because what else would one do with a soft boiled egg? Calling it "Table Tennis Productions" would crack the entire thing up. I love you!

P.S. "soft touch with the knife" (passive), "flicking knife with momentum" (agressive). Both are required to affect this technique effectively.

Jen - I still think we should try to get some really crispy thick bacon and then drizzle candycane stripes of dark chocolate over it, let it cool and serve it as a snack! Paula, are you able to do something like that in your industrial kitchen with the amounts of chocolate you have at hand?

  14. Bacon Bark....... Mmmmmmm you heard it here first! I want to register trademark that ASAP!!!!! LOL

  15. Paula - That would be a perfect product created by an entrepreneur who caters to dogs as well as their owners! "PP Tea" and "Bacon Bark". I want royalty rights!

  16. LOL .... I could do it for doggies with carob, and for people with a really good dark chocolate.... Mmmmm I may have to try this for the hell of it, I may be onto something... oh and 2% like we talked about before...LOL

  17. I loved the video, I gotta try that. I had to laugh though because when you wrapped the egg it reminded me of a class I took where we had to keep raw eggs as our "babies"-in essence it looked like a egg diaper. Ha ha

    ReplyDelete
  18. Michelle - I guess if you crack the egg, and the yolk comes out it would be akin to baby poop in the diapers.

    ReplyDelete
  19. no.. that would be akin to killing your baby. I had that class too....

Oooo remember Paula's daughter and that baby machine?? I can't WAIT for Shasta to bring one of those home... I still hope they give her two at the same time though.... *wicked laugh*

  21. Glad you made it! I was worried that you might have missed it completely.

How is Ellie doing? Is she back to full health again? or still running on low batteries (and one dead snake)?

    Love you JI!

  25. Whew! That's good. I was really worried about her when I heard. I imagined that Fidel would fill up your desk with work. Thanks for coming by. I always appreciate it when you do. I'm off to Tokyo for the weekend. Seminar at the Canadian Embassy, and then on Sunday meeting a blogger from India. Have a good weekend. I hope there's not too much work.

  28. First I laughed about "Ootnaboot" !!! Now I am drooling for bacon, trying how to figure it into my dinner yummmmm. I peel my egg like that also, my husband takes forever to do his by picking off the shell a little at a time.
Jose.......I can only imagine and big hugs to you !!!
Steffnee I admit to eating raw bacon too lol
Sometimes I like it just cooked a bit and sometimes I like it dry as a stick, it depends on my mood.

  29. I gotta say, I've never seen anyone...ever...eat bacon with chopsticks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ah.... Chris... then you must watch it once more! And then you can say, "I've seen someone eat bacon with chopsticks before!"

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ok, so I did an WOW I've now seen someone eat bacon with chopsticks. Brills! I still prefer eating sushi with chopsticks though :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. PC - As long as someone finds this video, I will be peeling eggs until the cows come home!

Chris - We eat sushi with our fingers in Japan!
