At 12:52 there was a 6.0 mag earthquake that hit Chiba (fairly close). It made our building shake and rattle quite.a bit. If you input 35.8, 141.0 into Google Maps you will see exactly where it hit.
Looking at the earthquake maps it rattled half of the main island.
You having fun yet?
ReplyDeleteLoads! I'm glad the window cleaners were hanging down the building this morning and not now.
ReplyDeleteAre you hearing the news that Japan evacuated the remaining workers from the reactor site ?
ReplyDeleteWe saw a news conference led by one of the government officials and amongst other things he did say that there'd be more news 'later'. . . . did you know when 'later' is ? When is the next news conference ?
"Due to high radiation levels at the reactor (#4) workers have been unable to pour water into the troubled pool. Difficult conditions have led the utility to evacuate around 730 of the 800 workers from the site, according to TEPCO."
ReplyDeleteDoes that answer your question?
730 of 800 ? -- We've been hearing for more than a day that there were only 50 remaining.
ReplyDeletei lived near Tokyo in the 80s and those earth shakes kept me quaking...
ReplyDeleteTake care!
