More aftershocks!

I walked 12km home and made it exercise by walking fast. I didnt go to work with a jacket and coming home was windy and quite cold.

But since I got home my building has been clicking and shaking with two more aftershocks.

Biggest quake ever in Japan at 8.8 on the richter scale and a 10m (30ft) tsunami wiping out Sendai City up north (population 1 million).

Matt is OK but his apartment is trashed.
Mayu and her apartment are OK.
My apt is OK.

Wow...

  4. Cam says his apartment building is safe.
Many buildings in Japan are built to withstand earthquakes now.
I worry about objects flying around so as long as he has things padded or is out of the way of them he SHOULD be OK.

  5. *nods Lots of people are safer in Japanese apartments and buildings than we would be in the States - go Japanese technology! Lots of buildings on base were built almost on "rollers" so the whole unit rolls and sways a bit instead of having to stay super rigid.

I'm amazed by the extent and breadth of the aftershocks. Just lots of wow!!!

Hope Cam can get some rest! <3
