I had a second interview with Karen Black of CJOB today (Friday, March 25th) which aired at approximately 15:10 in the afternoon. We discussed the current situation in Japan, radiation levels, products coming and going from the country, and the infrastructure in the Tohoku region.
If you would like to listen to that interview, you can visit www.cjob.com and go to their audio vault, choose Friday March 25, 3pm - 4pm and listen.
Or...
You can download the mp3 of the interview that Karen was so kind to send me.
Have a great evening.
I love you!

ReplyDeleteOne thing I wanted to mention about the irradiated iodine in the water, but couldn't mention is this:
ReplyDeleteJapanese Maximum Limit is 100Becquerel/L for under 1year old, and 300Becquerel/L for adults.
The International Standard Maximum Limit is 3,000 Becquerel/L.
As you can see, in this case, what Japan has been warning about to the people here, wouldn't even make a blip on International standards.
However, the media doesn't point this out to the world, I don't think. What they say is that the Japanese government has informed Tokyoites that the water is not safe for Infants under 1year old to drink (BASED ON JAPANESE STRINGENT REGULATIONS WHICH ARE MUCH MORE STRICT THAN INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS).
wow...that IS stringent.
ReplyDeletei wish you'd have gotten a chance to mention the 8 day half life of radioactive iodine
would have given a clearer perspective if those 2 points had been stated
